Most NTSC games use the NUS-6102 and most PAL games use the NUS-7101, games which use other CICs are listed here. It was manufactured by Sharp and is likely one of their old “one-chip microcomputers”, used in calculators and TV remotes and the like. NTSC CIC chips used the 61xx numbering convention, where PAL used 71xx. This is not an UltraCIC chip so 6102 and 7101 are not interchangeable. CIC 6102, 6103, 6105 are only for NTFS games. The N64 system however, requires the CIC in order to start up a game. The original code was written by jesgdev and updated with multi-region support by saturnu.
