Imnaha river camping. A long and rough 27-mile drive north from Imnaha to Dug Bar, provides the only vehicle access to the Snake River and Hells Canyon from Wallowa County, and is a popular drop off point for Hells Canyon floaters and hikers. Originating from the headwaters of the South Fork of the Imnaha River near Cusick Mountain in the Eagle Cap Wilderness, this 77-mile-long river flows through a mixture of Forest Service and private lands, eventually emptying into the Snake River. This small rustic campground with 7 sites offers both tent and trailer sites near the river in an open ponderosa pine and fir setting. The understory of grass and various shrubs give the campground a soft, luxurious feel. Savor your morning drinking coffee on the front porch, while absorbing the panoramic views and maybe catch a glimpse of the Canyon's plentiful wildlife. Drinking water is located at the Indian Crossing and Ollokot Campgrounds. Campers can experience temperatures ranging from 30°F in winter to 85°F in summer, and nearby attractions include Crater Lake National Park and the Rogue River for outdoor activities. The campground offers 3 tent/trailer sites and 10 tent-only sites in the forested area by the river. Hidden Campground is a small, rustic facility along the Wild and Scenic Imnaha River. Drinking water is located at the Indian Crossing and Ollokot Campgrounds seasonally. oogdj mqk liykya ehruqjv ouq tqyhl ddsxbc rlv dnlgoc tflkj
