Stellaris late game boring. It gets slower and slower, even though CPU usage doesnt even reach 50%. I have played through a few times. What is there to really do towards late mid to end game? In the late game when techs are coming in left and right, it is all down to 5% increase or improvement in this or that, to the point that it really doesn't matter what you choose if you are ahead of the rest of the pack. Oct 25, 2025 · Late game is boring So i've played a lot of the star trek version of this game so it wasn't that hard to adapt, but i still find the same issues here, in the late game all you do is run after stack of ships with your stack of ships, finally get a big battle, then go after an other stack of ships while the previous stack of ship gets repaired. Jun 14, 2023 · In vanilla Stellaris there really is not much to do for xenophile empires and since Paradox rarely makes additions to core gameplay, we have to do it ourselfes with console commands, mods and save game editing. Measures to reduce the lag can be to turn off xeno compatibility which will reduce the variety of pops in the galaxy which in turn cause lag due to the extra calculation done by the engine. Game performance was great, there was always some action and always something to do. There are no more events. But I find myself getting bored in the later game. Keep finding myself starting a new game without ever seeing in through. It gets quite slow in the late game and you just need to live with it. . but once im so much more powerful than everyone and i just have to wait for the crisis to arrive or whatever is just so boring, i mean, i can vassalize everyone or do whatever but it feels more like a tedious chore than anything so i rarely finish games, i usually just start a new one. So I made a mod that 100% both grey tempest and the great khan (and makes multiple awakenings possible), because ♥♥♥♥ peacetime. I've been playing stellaris since its launch and have 1k+ hours ingame. It's easily the weakest part of Stellaris, and everything just feels like a chore at that point. The AI empires became passive and made so many alliances that barely anyone is fighting. I can't even add anymore nations to my federation as they never like all the other members enough to join.
